One of the guard's vans on the Forest of Boland Railway.
indentThere are two styles of stock on the
FoB; early "round log" period and the later "rough sawn plank"
style. In this photo all are of the latter type, one with a guard and a
passenger.
indentThe choice of two distinct styles is deliberate and is
an attempt to give the line some perceived "history", supposedly evidenced by
these improving construction methods which the gnomes developed as time went
by. Well; that's our story, anyway!
